A few years ago, my good friend Ryan Miller told me about a band called Marianas Trench. I was hooked instantly, as their music is right up my alley. Poppy hooks and killer choruses that are so big they will knock you on your feet. I am also a singer, so I was in love with the fact that they had so many harmonies in their songs. When I listened to the music, I felt like Queen had returned with a fresh, current pop rock sound, and I rocked their album Masterpiece Theatre for months on repeat. The only issue was, I knew it would be super hard to see them live since they are from Canada. (Fun Canadian Fact – The singer, Josh Ramsay co-wrote Carly Rae Jepsen’s Hit single “Call Me Maybe” which reached #1 on Billboard Charts.) Finally, last week the guys came down to FL to play at the House Of Blues, and I was able to not only enjoy the show, but photograph it as well! (Duh!) I have to say, it was one of the most invigorating and dead on sets I have seen from a live band in a while. The music was super tight and their vocals were spot on the entire night (even while doing 4 part harmonies live – NO VOCAL TRACKS!) I had a blast watching them perform and I know the rest of the crowd probably felt the same as me! Make sure to check out Marianas Trench at their website and you can also stream their music on Spotify and Rdio! Now on to the photos! Feel free to share the link to this blog and comment below!
