In October I will be shooting my first official Bat Mitzvah. You would think that with the combination of shooting so many weddings in the past few years, and growing up in the Jewish faith, I would have already photographed many, but this will be the first! I am extremely excited about it because of my up-bringing, and because I really look forward to capturing it in my style. So many Bar and Bat Mitzvah photographers these days just do the standard portrait deal, and I really want to make sure the photos show how much fun kids actually have at this ceremony!

Jordan’s mom contacted me to set everything up, and in the package I provided them, I included a portrait session before hand so they could have some photos to hang up during the party. Jordan is already a super talented guitar player and she said that some of her favorite music was Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift. I tried to pull from both of those styles when I was shooting and I think I pulled it off! Enough jibber jabber for now, let’s get on to the photos of Jordan!
